Tim Montgomerie

Tim is the editor of UnHerd, a new and widely hailed online platform that provides a ‘dive deep into the economic, technological and cultural challenges of our time’.

Tim was previously the Times Comment Editor, as well as a regular commentator on television & radio. Prior to this he created the ConservativeHome website, was a co-founder of the Centre for Social Justice and co-founder of the Conservative Christian Fellowship.

Tim will be talking about effective leadership in public life.

Jonathan and Jane Ruffer

Jonathan is the co-founder & Chairman of one of the city of London’s most admired investment management funds, Ruffers LLP.

Jane is a doctor and trustee of various charities & vice-chairman of a hospice.

The Ruffers have relocated to the North East of England to invest in the renewal of the region. They are the founders of Kynren, a remarkable, high quality open air show telling the story of the North East and involving 1000 local people in its production and are developing plans for a museum, a theme park and other projects to bring renewal to the region.

Jonathan and Jane will be talking about the personal lessons they have learnt over a lifetime of contribution & sharing their inspirational vision for the North East of England.
